Welcome to Justice beyond Jails — an interactive storytelling tool designed to challenge the way we think about safety, justice, and the limits of criminal legal systems.

Journey with four characters*, each navigating their own experience of gender-based violence (GBV) across different ages, locations, and circumstances. These scenarios, inspired by real stories, place you directly in their shoes, prompting you to grapple with the difficult choices they must make as they engage with systems that claim to offer protection and justice. While these characters are fictitious, their stories might be disturbingly familiar.

Real safety and deep justice are built through resources, relationships, and community support — not cages.
